Shadow is a sweet smart dog. She was taken to our adoption event and after seeing her on day two, a nice lady with her own dog could not stop thinking about her, and decided to take her out of the county shelter and foster her. Shadow and the woman's dog played for six hours that first day! To no surprise, Shadow was adopted the next week. We are so happy that we could help Shadow get her terrific new home!
Her departure from the shelter (sadly now FULL) after a month, also made an opening for another dog. Her time there was limited, and at her age, she may have been selected for euthanasia, since the shelter is full. This is a great success story as we do not always know what taking dogs out of the county shelter can do for them, but in this case, it was a victory for both Shadow, her new owner, and her house mate dog who loves her. We wish them all the best!
