Chocolate Chip (Chip)

Chip is absolutely the "mama's boy" of a cat and the definition of a scaredy cat at the same time. My sneeze will make him run and hide, along with changing the trash bag in the kitchen. When you get home and lay on the couch, he will come sit on your lap and just chill—as I like to call it, "Chip n' Chill." Chip likes to snack on raw steak if you have any scraps from prepping dinner and is a sucker for a crunchy cat snack. Because Chip is always such a cuddle cat, he loves to get scratches so much that if you do give him the joy of it, he will give you his belly, like his sister does, and roll over so you can get the good scratch spots. Chip loves his big sister and regularly finds her on the windowsill to go cuddle and lay next to. Since they were kittens, their behavior of love and playfulness has only gotten stronger. Overall, he is such a low-key cat who stares out the window most of the day.

From Previous Adopter:

Bro & Sis

I adopted Chip & Cleo with my girlfriend at the time and knew what I was getting into. I was super excited to have these lovely kittens in my home. The energy these two bring is incredible, and the amount of socialization they have has made them a joy. They are very curious, friendly, and like to be around people—near everyone when at my home during their waking hours. They have always lived inside but are curious enough that they will step outside a little and smell around, but when it's time to go inside, they'll scurry back up the stairs. They love to lay in the sun on the windowsill or on the carpet where the sun is, nestle into the couch corner, or perch somewhere and take a nap. On a regular feeding schedule, they never binge eat or cry for food, and better yet, they rarely have accidents from either end. Their diet has been pretty consistent with a mix of dry and wet food, typically from TikiCat and dry food from Science Diet / Authority, with a charcoal filter water fountain. I was always warned about cats destroying furniture, but I have a nice cloth couch that they leave alone, and they have not destroyed anything! There are sufficient scratch pads (3) for them around the home, and they know where to let their scratches out.

I will absolutely miss them as they are bonded and sweet, but with my worsening allergies, increasingly demanding work, and lack of anyone to assist, I am afraid adoption is the only option to explore. They deserve to remain together and with someone who has another friendly animal for them to engage with, kids, or a larger space for them to enjoy. They are litter box trained using "World's Best Cat Litter 'Multiple Cats.'" Along with all the information above, I will be providing the litter box, two sets of feeding dishes, a short cat tree, toys, and any food/litter I have at the time of adoption. These are awesome, friendly, and playful cats that I wish I could keep, but I cannot.

Please complete an application to bring these two home.  A volunteer will contact you.
