Update:  Madeleine is now happy and thriving in a loving home with other cats pals and a cat-loving couple.  We wish them all the best! 

Madeleine is a beautiful girl who seems sad now, likely missing her owner.   She and her adorable sister Gladys were discovered with their deceased owner who had no next of kin. They had been in their home for about five days after their owner had died. Madeleine and her sister were scheduled for euthanasia after being in the shelter for just five days due to not adapting well and being terrified. They are survivors though, and an A.R.F. volunteer wanted to save these special sisters!  Fortunately, they are now safe in a foster home and doing well!  Madeleine and her sister are good with another cat, and will do better in a quieter home with adults. They are learning to love and trust again and will return their gratitude to you by relaxing in sunny windows and being loyal friends. We look forward to knowing we can help make Madeleine a happy cat again in her new home.
