Update: Dyson's owner found him a sanctuary in central Florida. We wish him good times and great new friends! If you are looking to rescue a pig, pigs are often at our county shelter at 7100 Belvedere Road (along with other farm animals like chickens and roosters). Dyson is happy in his home with other pets and kids! He's a friendly guy and he's had regular vet visits. Unfortunately, his owner, who rescued him almost seven years ago after he had a rough first year (even saved from being eaten), has to move to a place where Dyson is not welcome. Dyson needs a new home ASAP. He's been loved and well cared for, and you can see even likes the beach. He'll also flop down and roll over for belly rubs, which he loves. He's even had some K9 training in his youth and is SOME pig! His owner will also bring Dyson to you. Dyson's traveled for several hours in the car before. Dyson is not in our care, but we are trying to help this special boy find his new and final home! It will make his family happy too knowing he's safe and happy.
