Update:  Smokey now is officially adopted at age 19!  His awesome foster mom has been spoiling him, which is what we love to hear.  He's one lucky long-lived cat.  We wish them many more happy times together!

Smokey is an extremely sweet boy who just can't get and give enough love!  His owner passed and her granddaughter did all she could for him including asking A.R.F. to take him in honor of her Nan.  Smokey is no trouble at all and is a quiet boy.  He'll talk to you if you talk to him though.  He deserves lots of love and TLC for the end of his days.  He loves to be held over your shoulder and to receive attention.  He's very alert and attentive.  He's a real lap cat and will stretch up for you to pick him up.  His foster mom loves to catch him snoring, which he does lightly on a rare occasion.  He'll also go under the covers if he's chilled, especially now since his owner's family had him shaved due to their allergies, but his lovely coat is growing back quickly.  Smokey is a real character and he'll really enhance you days!  We are hoping to find a nice home for him ASAP as it is harder for senior cats to be in rescue.  He was in a home with another cat that we placed (Mocha), so he should adjust to another cat.  If you are interested in meeting Smokey, please apply on-line.
