THE NEWEST ADDITIONS TO OUR NURSERY
The sweet lady that told A.R.F. about me called me Mamacita, but my foster mom calls me Love Bug because I’m so sweet. The lady who called A.R.F. was so nice that she fed me twice a day, during and after my pregnancy, so that I would have plenty of nutrients for my babies. On April 6, I had my kittens in that nice lady’s yard; five beautiful baby boys! There are a lot of dangers for cats outdoors, and one of my boys didn't make it. That nice lady called A.R.F. to come and get me so my kittens and I would be safe. I was grateful that we were all taken in by A.R.F.
My A.R.F foster mom thought it would probably take me a while to get used to her, but boy was she wrong! As soon as she had me in her house and put me with my kittens, I started purring so loudly. Ever since then, when my foster mom comes in to check on us, I purr up a storm. I even trust her with my babies. When she pets them, I pet her back with my paws. Sometimes, I even kiss her hand. I like to rub on her legs and purr when she’s changing my water and food. I even eat treats straight from her hand. I’ve been with her for two days, but act like I’ve always lived there. Sometimes when she leaves the room, I protest loudly. I love to be around people. My foster mom thinks that I’ll do just fine in any home with someone who will give me lots of attention (because I love attention!). By the way, I don’t ever want to go back outside. It’s a cold world out there!
We will all be ready for adoption when my kittens get bigger; we all get our vaccines and when we all get spayed or neutered! That should be around the first or second week in June.

These are Precious Angel's lab and black and tan hound pups that were going to be euthanized, but we saved them. All have been adopted! There are 7 males (2 black labs, 1 brown hound, 1 black and white lab-mix and 3 black and tan hounds) and 1 female black lab on the beefy side.

These are Tali's babies. They are about 5 weeks old (Feb 8, 2009) and have all been placed in loving new homes.
We rescued Honey, a beagle mix, from a high kill shelter after she was spayed and her newborn puppies were euthanized. She became one of our heroines, and was a great surrogate mom to three newborn mastiffs.
Gypsie is a mastiff and mother of five puppies, who are brothers and sisters to Honey's foster babies.
